The Prince Programme

The CCP The Prince Programme offers multi-exit progression rather than being tied to a particular university. Students receive one-on-one support from highly experienced counsellors, helping them choose the right subject at the best university for their needs.

Results are some of the top for foundation students in the UK with 88% of students in 2022 going onto top universities for their subject and a very high percentage onto university each year.

It’s an extraordinary unique programme where you’ll be earning an International Foundation qualification at City College Plymouth in less than six months. It is a challenging and yet inspiring programme that has been designed to provide international students with the academic literacy, skills and knowledge required for undergraduate study in a UK higher education institution.

The programme is ideal for international students who wish to apply for a UK degree and need to improve English language and/or academic knowledge. Moreover, you’ll have a fantastic study abroad experience with some city excursions or university campus visits during the course. This programme is also suitable for those who do meet the entry requirement for university but wish to gain a firm foundation in studying in a British academic environment before starting their undergraduate studies.

Students will develop subject knowledge through classes with specialist subject lecturers and gain academic literacy and language skills in classes taught by skilled teachers of English for Academic Purposes (EAP). Moreover, students will also need to undergo IELTS training during the programme and sit for the IELTS examination in April/ May.

The college has an International Office to look after the welfare interests of our students. Pastoral support is a priority of the college. Students under the age of 18 can choose to be placed with host families who have been inspected by the college.
